We do not sell our customer’s personal data to any firms and we take information security seriously. Please note, however, no electronic data transmission or storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and you use the Site and provide us with your information at your own risk.

Collection of Information

When you register on our App (“Bora Rentals”), we may collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and payment information (such as account or credit card information). The information you provide is used to create your account or payment profile, and to respond to specific requests or transactions.

Cookie/Tracking Technology

Whenever you visit or interact with the Bora Rentals App (“App”), we may use a variety of technologies that automatically or passively collect information about how the App is accessed and used (“Usage Information”). Usage Information may include browser type, device type, operating system, the page served, the time, the preceding page views, the number of visitors to the App, and other information that helps us understand how visitors use the App.

The App may use cookie and tracking technology to collect Usage Information. The technologies used on the App to collect Usage Information, including Device Identifiers, include but are not limited to: cookies and pixel tags (transparent graphic image, sometimes called a web beacon or tracking beacon, placed on a web page or in an email, which indicates that a page or email has been viewed). Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, if you previously provided personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information. Aggregate cookie and tracking information may be shared with third parties. To learn how you may be able to reduce the number of cookies you receive from us, or delete cookies that have already been installed in your browser’s cookie folder, please refer to your browser’s help menu or other instructions related to your browser.

We automatically collect your IP address or other unique identifier (“Device Identifier”) for the Device (computer, mobile phone, tablet or other device) you use to access the App. A Device Identifier is a number that is assigned to your Device when you access a website or its servers, and our computers identify your Device by its Device Identifier. We may use a Device Identifier to, among other things, administer the App, help diagnose problems with our servers, analyze trends, track users’ App page movements, and help identify you.

 

Distribution of Information

Except as described here, we will not provide any of your Personal Information to any third parties without your specific consent. We may share non-Personal Information, such as aggregate data and Usage Information with third parties. We may also share your information as disclosed at the time you provide your information, as set forth in this Privacy Policy and in the following circumstances:

Third Parties: We may share your Personal Information with third parties that perform functions on our behalf, such as service providers that host or operate our App, analyze data, process transactions and payments, and provide customer service.

Business Transfers: In the event that we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction.

Legal Disclosure: We may share your information with third parties to comply with a legal obligation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) enforcing our Terms of Use or other applicable policies, or otherwise to protect our rights; or (4) investigating fraud, security or technical issues. The information is not provided to these third party companies for marketing or other unrelated commercial purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we notify you by providing a notice on the App prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.

Information We Automatically Collect

Device Information. When you use our mobile application, we use cookies, pixels, log files, and other similar technologies to collect data about the computer or other device that you use. This systematic information includes device identifiers and other unique identifiers, browser type, browser language, operating system name, and version, device name, and model and version. We also collect information about how your device navigates our mobile applications like the referring and exit pages, dates and times you access, the length of time that you are logged into or browsed our sites, the links you click or features you use, software crash reports and a unique session identification number.

Location Usage. When you rent a Bora chair via the “Bora Rentals” app we automatically collect and store location information from your device:

• Devices: We collect the location information (e.g., city, state, or postal code where available) associated with the IP address of the device you use to access the services, as well as, with your permission, your mobile device’s location information using GPS or Bluetooth (you can change your location/Bluetooth settings for your mobile device; however, certain features may not be available through the mobile application if you do so).
